NEWSFLASH! New lecture announced by Heather - 1st Class, 3rd yr Notices... Pathophysiology.
The first of these pathophysiology lectures will take place on FRIDAY 9th October 2009 at 3:30pm - 6:30pm in Room G02. Subsequent pathophysiology lectures (from the w/c Mon 12th Oct 09 onwards) will take place on a weekly basis as follows:
Groups ABC
Mondays at 3:30pm - 6:30pm in Room G02
Groups DEF
Fridays at 9:00am - 12:00pm in Room 3.10
Term 1, week 4, 5-9 Oct:
Clinic:
- Wednesday tutorial: cranial nerve exam
- Friday tutorial: open session
POS/Applied Technique:
SF/NMS:
- Cervical spine and whiplash.
SF/Developmental Biology:
- Abdomen and urinary system.
OP/OED:
SF/Neurology:
- Extrapyramidal disorders: "movement disorders".
- Motor, but not LMNL or UMNL or cerebellar.
- Check out the substantia nigra. Damage to this results in Parkinsonism.
- What might you expect to see in a motor exam in someone with extrapyramidal disorders?
- Compare tremors: resting; intention; postural.
OCCS:
- Managing uncertainty and physical literacy.
POS/Technique:

SF/Orthopaedics and Rheumatology:
- Rheumatoid disease of joints.
