Practical Osteopathic Skills -- Technique
- Seated cervico-thoracic -- anterior, posterior, rotation, sidebending (a.k.a. translation).
- Seated acromio-clavicular joint exam -- pt rubs hands together, shrugs. Palpate from behind.
- Supine long lever AC joint exam.
- Supine short lever AC joint exam.
- Supine long lever AC joint manipulation.
- Supine short lever AC joint manipulation.
- Supine short and long lever sterno-clavicular joint exam.
- Side-lying GH joint exam -- flex, extend, abduct, small amount of adduction, circumduction. (Also, horizontal extension?)
- Side-lying GH joint treatment -- traction, distraction, push superiorly. Distraction has two holds: one with pt arm straight, one with pt arm bent.
